The wise woman of Banu Hashim
My heart trembles when I listen to the tragedy of Karbala,
I am writing from London. These words are inspired by the lectures from various scholars.Writing for 17 years
I am Kulsoom Abbas originally from Karachi Pakistani, currently living in London UK with my husband & 2 kids. I am a Maths graduate and worked as a Teacher in several schools. My interest in poetry developed when I was a teenager. I used to write poems for a youth magazine. A few years later I was offered a position of a Madrassa Teacher at an Islamic School which enhanced my love and devotion towards Ahlulbayt (as). My mother is a scholar and my father is a great reciter of Ahlulbayt (as) and they are my inspiration.
Favourite poets
I always admired the poets of Sub-Continents like Mir Anees , Mirza Dabeer , Allama Iqbal.
First poem
" Her last moment of Life " I wrote it in the memory of my late grandmother.
