First poem

It was so long ago that I cannot recall my first one. Rather allow me to pinpoint to my first one about Karbala which is massive for me because after years of writing English poems about life lessons, I finally achieved the milestone of using my talent to write out a poem about the event that played such an important part of my upbringing. It was 2022, COVID was still with us. Lockdown majlises with limited capacities. A friend of my was hosting his first ever youth majlis, at home. He randomly asked me if I wanted to recited something. I said yes, even though I had nothing to recite. It was in that moment, by the Grace of God, this Karbala poem was made. Alhumdolillah!
