Khwāja ʿAbdullāh Ansārī
Persian Sufi poet (1006–1088) of Herat. His Munājāt (Intimate Supplications) is one of the founding works of Persian devotional prose-poetry, a model for the intimate supplicatory voice that the munajat as a form would carry forward.
