John Bin Huwai- Not counted, still standing.

John bin Huwai. A name the world did not keep. He was not born into Hussain’s (as) camp. He entered it. And did not leave. They called him a servant. He did not remain what they called him. In Karbala, names do not hold. Only choices do. John stood among the known. He was not known. John stood among the counted. He was not counted. And still… he stood. Night before Ashura. No one speaks as if tomorrow is real. Only silence. John did not break it. He kept it. He belonged inside it. He was told he was free. He did not move. Because freedom without Hussain (as) was distance. And he did not choose distance. He chose nearness. Ashura. One by one they fall away from Hussain (as) One by one the world becomes empty. John remains. He does not remain because he is left. He remains because he does not leave. He goes forward when there is nothing left to stay for. Not for name. Not for memory. Not for reward. Only because nothing in him belongs anywhere else. And when he falls there is no title left. No lineage. No claim. Only Karbala holding him. And Karbala does not release. John. He did not stay in the world. Because he had already left it for Hussain (as)
